I see it as my aim in life to entertain people through writing. I’m not on this planet to write the great literary masterpiece; if I was I don’t think God would have equipped me with such an odd sense of humour. But I like writing things that range from the thought-provoking, right through to the out-and-out daft.
I’ve been blogging since 2006 and fell straight into doing something I absolutely adored. I’ve always loved writing, but discovering this way of being able to commit my thoughts to a webpage and let other people read them, instantly appealled to me. Since then I’ve written about anything, from broken down fences to techno-tampons and everything in between. My style of writing can be very much summed up as ‘what fell out of my head’; I write as the muse takes me, as I do things and as events around me unfold.
I’m originally from Lancashire but I’ve been resident in the southern half of the country since 1988. I currently live in Ampthill, Bedfordshire which doubles as the mythical ‘Middle Narnia’. I’m married and I have a teenage daughter who tries in vain to get me to like Justin Bieber. It’s not going to happen though, not until hell freezes over.
I am managed by two cats who sportingly let me live in their house under the condition that pouches are opened four times a day, the cat flap is always open and they can sleep where the heck they like.

TV…
I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I never miss Doctor Who, Miranda and Merlin. I tend to end up watching a lot of stuff on DVD and as a result endlessly re-watch Battlestar Galactica, The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. I also love a bit of Lark Rise to Candleford. Loved Game of Thrones but can’t see what the fuss about Downton Abbey is… I absolutely don’t do X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, I’m a Celebrity or Big Brother. Sorry, but I’ll just look at you blankly if you talk about those.
Food and Drink…
Indian and wine. Keep it coming!
